This was a small project during the months over which the BBB course
ran in 2001.
The report which you can read here gives the background to the work
which eventually led to the BBB set of web pages.
Also in this report I admit to using some rather old software in writing
the pages. I found that this gave me more control over details of page
content, even though I could have used the latest versions. The later,
more "intelligent" versions tend to modify page contents without asking
the author (most impolite!) and also generate much larger files, with consequent
impact on download times. After all if you know just what you want to put
into a page - including dynamic HTML and JavaScript - all you really need
is a basic text editor (though I do find myself using Netscape 4.7 a lot).
Once written, the pages are checked in later browser versions.
So, select the page you wish: |
